Untethered

My phone died a few days ago. As soon as it did, getting a new one felt urgent.
Being phoneless made me anxious.
But, the more I procrastinated, the more I got used to not having one.
The freedom of being untethered.
Like a dog without a leash.

At the movies last night, when the reminder came on the screen to silence your phones, it felt so good to not have one.
