Grandma
my Mom’s Mom
she was very sweet and soft spoken

I found the court record of her and my Grandpa’s marriage online:
47454-26 Arthur BROCKBANK, 21, tinsmith's helper, England, Hamilton, s/o Albert James BROCKBANK & Mary Agnes HENDERSON, married Esther Annie LEWIS, 20, clerk, Canada, Hamilton, d/o William John LEWIS, b. Canada & Jane SMITH, 30 Dec 1926 at Hamilton.

Bottlebrushes

I like this photo a lot. It looks like it could be a painting. I found it in an old photo album.

Here is some not very interesting information about the Bottlebrush Tree:
Callistemon species have commonly been referred to as bottlebrushes because of their cylindrical, brush-like flowers resembling a traditional bottle brush. They are mostly found in the more temperate regions of Australia. Some species are drought-resistant and are used in ornamental landscaping elsewhere in the world.
